CRISIS CENTER
The Crisis Center is a volunteer-powered program, serving as an emotional lifeline through compassionate, non-judgmental, 24-hour live telephone support.  Our trained crisis counselors—using a combination of empathic listening, risk assessment, and intervention skills—assist callers with immediate problems and link them with the long-term resources they need to cope and overcome.  The program is free, safe, confidential and available to anyone with access to a telephone.  Callers can reach us at (901) CRISIS-7 or toll-free at 1-800-273-TALK.  Anyone interested in volunteering can call (901) 271-5492.
